Hitler becomes Chancellor

On January 30th, 1933 Adolf Hitler was appointed as Chancellor of Germany

Reichstag Building Fire

Feb 28, 1933

On February 28th, 1933 the Reichstag Building caught on fire, and this strengthened the uprising of the Nazi party.

Hitler becomes Führer

Jul 1, 1934

Hitler ordered the Nazi Leaders to take down the leadership of the SA and kill other political enemies. This murderous purge ended with the Nazi Party and the German army coming together which granted the Nazi party power over Germany then Hitler named himself Führer.

Invasion of Austria

Mar 12, 1938

This is when the German Soldiers marched into Austria. The next day the Annexation of Austria to the German Empire was announced and Hitler arrived in Vienna to a cheering crowd of 200,000 Austrians.

Hitler to Parliament

Jan 23, 1939

Hitler tells the German parliament that another World War will occur from the extermination of the Jews

Invasion on Poland

Sep 1, 1939

This is when Germany invaded Poland and initiated World War II.
