Post World War I
WWI devastated Europe as a whole but mostly effected Germany as it had to pay reoperations because they were blamed for the start of the war. They went in a Great Depression and had to true to Adolf Hitler since he promised to get Germany out of their situation. -
Hitler as Chancellor
Adolf Hitler was appointed chancellor and following that, the Nazi's took their rise as the Third Reich. The establishment of the first concentration camps that held political opponents of Hitler, homosexuals, and everyone Hitler and the Nazi's saw as dangerous. Propaganda was used to spread Hitler's ideas to other people to persuade them to be on his side. -
The Start of WWII
In this time Germany invaded Poland, Nazi Germany had conquered a lot of Europe. They also took Jewish property and forced them to wear armbands to identify them as Jewish. They established ghettos and labor camps for Jews. The Jews were stripped of all right and considered nothing to Hitler as he saw the Germans as the race above all. -
The Holocaust
The Holocaust started when a young Jew had shot and killed a German minister. Hitler did not take this well and exercised the "Final Solution" which was the extermination of all Jews. At this time over 6 million Jews were killed and about 8 million were others that Hitler considered useless.
