  • Thirty Years War

    Thirty Years War
    The Thirty Years War began due to a lack of freedom. Mainly with the freedom of practicing other religions. The idea of who did and didn't have power and rights soon became focused on. The notice of imbalance of equality is mainly what started the war. The war caused famish on Germany. Battles destroyed crops and brought diseases with them. The war ended with the Treaty of Westphalia. The Thirty Years War lasted from 1618 to 1648.
  • English Bill of Rights

    English Bill of Rights
    The English Bill of Rights was passed on December 16, 1689. This document is what made sure kings and queens were never given to much power, in order to prevent any abuse of it. This document is also one of the first steps towards our modern day democracy and common right of freedom of speech.
  • War of Austrian Succession

    War of Austrian Succession
    The main cause of the War of Austrian Succession was due to the death of Emperor Charles VI in 1740. The war was battled mainly to gain land. Charles VI was supposed to inherit land that we know as Austria today, due to his death he could not though. Because of his death, the nations went to way over who would gain Austria. The war ended with the treaty of Aix-la-Chapelle in 1748.

    The Stamp Act was passed in 1765. It was a tax on all paper goods that American colonists had to pay. Paper goods being legal documents, ship papers, newspapers, licenses, also playing cards. Basically anything made of paper. This didn't last long as the tax was repealed the following year due to the riots being caused by tax collectors and the colonists.

    American Revolution
    The American Revolution was a battle between the colonists and the British empire. The French also helped the colonists out in the revolution. It began due to the Stamp Act of 1765. Though the act was repealed the colonists were not happy with the ongoing unfair treatment that Britain was giving them. The war ended with the colonists winning and being free from Britain. The war lasted from 1765 to 1783.

    Treaty of Paris
    The Treaty of Paris 1783 is what is known to be the document that ended the American Revolution. That's all I can say about it actually, that's all it really did.

    The Storming of the Bastille was an attack on Franc's government by its' own people to put it short. The Bastille was a building or more like fortress built around France to protect it during the war. The government had been abusing its power to its people. That being said the people revolted against it,

    The French Revolution lasted ten years, from 1789 up until 1799. Its began on July 14, 1789 due to the storm of Bastille. That was the first act of violence against the ruling government.
  • Tennis Court Oath

    Tennis Court Oath
    In 1789, deputies of the third estate took this oath. It was basically to promise not to go in to war with each other no matter what the case was. It went in to affect right after and that was it, yeah.
  • Reign of Terror

    Reign of Terror
    Reign of Terror is the name given to a time period during the French Revolution. During this time period it was very gruesome and violent. There were often public executions to scare off the general public. This time period lasted from September 5, 1793 to July 28, 1794.
