Improved version of the steam engine invented by James Watt. This steam engine model was used in the production of locomotives and steamships. It was the first steam engine to make use of a seperate condenser.
  • Steam Ship

    Steam Ship
Jacques Perrier invents a steamship which design was widely used to transport people and cargo. It became a modern base for designs worldwide for years afterards.
  • Submarines

    Submarines

  • Hydrogen Balloon

    Hydrogen Balloon
The hydrogen balloon is invented. Flown over the English Channel in 1785. The Charles Hydrogen Balloon as it was known, has its design copied to this day by similar hydrogen balloons.
  • Evolved Steamboats

    Evolved Steamboats
Although invented earlier in the century, John Fitch uses a newer model of engine to create faster, bigger and more efficient steam boats.
  • Locomotives

    Locomotives
Steam Locomotives were invented by George Stephenson. The 'Blutcher' became known as the first fully functional steam locomotive able to haul 8 wagens filled with 30 tons of coal.

  • Underground Railway

The first underground railway became used, operated by steam locomotives. It originally linked Paddington and Farringdon but later expanded.
  • Motorcycle

    Motorcycle

  • Car Invented

    Car Invented
Karl Benz invents the first car ahead of many other German engineers, working off the same principles at the time.
  • Electric Trains

The first underground train network using trains running off electricity. Electricity was used since it was impracticle to use steam deep underground.
