A man called Boccaccio, who lived in Florence, managed to work out the symptoms which he said were lumps in the armpits or groin. Afterwards black spots would appear on arms and thighs. Killing most within 3 days.

By 1349 the black death is introduced into Norway by a ship landing in Bergen but the plague never hit Iceland.

By spring 1349 the black death ravaged its way into Wales and the Midlands and by late summer it made its way across the Irish Sea.

The plague has made it to Northwestern Russia killing nearly everyone in its path but the black death has spared parts of Europe such as Poland and isolated parts in Belgium and the Netherlends.
