  • Cartesian dualism

    Cartesian dualism
The statement that human has dual,two-sided nature one part which is mechanial and other which is controled by soul.
    Body(mechanical)
    Mind(by soul)
  • Beginning

    Beginning
Materialism which means that we are material beings because our behaviors could be studied scientifically(John locke said that we are purely mechanical while James mills named this idea"materialism")
  • Germany" non psychologists"

Scientists were making experiments to see how clearly human may be discribed(Herman von helmholtz discovered the speed of our neuron transmition and he made the studies about our mind how it works mecanically, ernest weber also evaluted how human reflects on smalls change when they are measuring something)
  • Germany" non psychologists"

    Germany" non psychologists"
scientists continued to evaluete that idea of human to be considered as machine where Hermann Von Helmholtz discovered the speed of neuron transmission and Ernest Weber also studied how human could identify a small change added to something when they are measuring the quantities, length ,intensity.
  • Freud

    Freud
Freud made introduction to three components of psyche whic are Id( our desire for doing something),super ego(our conscious which shows how we always want to be seen well by society) ego( which try to satisfy Id without comprimosing super ego and he introduced clinical psychology.
  • Post Freud

    Post Freud
after Freud the science minded psychologists started the school of behaviorism to prove the idea of Id, superego and ego to prove them if they are or not true. hey did albert experiment of stimili and response. they find that even behaviors are conditioned like fear. Many disciplines of psychology were developed like neuropsychology.the were comparing brain and computer because their fonctions seem to be alike( brain is hard ware while thougths are programs)
