    The first dated printed book was Diamond sutra, printed in China in 868 AD although movable clay type was invented in 1041 In China. This was just the start of mass media and what it had to offer.
  • 1500

    Printing press

    Printing press
    In the late 15th century came the printing press. This gave a huge rise to some of the first mass communication. With little to no communication at all people can finally make and publish their work.
  • The 1900s

    The beginning of the 1900s newspaper and magazines took over media however there was no television or .radio yet
  • “Media”

    The word media was not really used until 1920’s. The notation “mass media” was only print media up until world war when the radio and television became big.
  • Television

    The television became the most popular way people liked to get the news. It introduced audio and visual combined and that was mind blowing at the time.
  • What the 20th century brings to mass media

    Late 19th century technology was good for the time but as we came into the 20th century technology was the motivation behind mass media and how to got around. So with the improv,ents of technology Media became cheaper but yet media corporations were increasing their profits.
