Olympic Debut!
The Olympic debut of team handball was in the year of 1936 which was played in Berlin. -
Next Olympic Appearance!
1972 was the second appearance of team handball in the Olympics which took place in the Munich games. This was 36 years that handball had not been played in the Olympics and only men played the game. -
Women's Handball
Women's handball was finally added to the Olympic games in 1976! -
Men's USA Handball
The USA men finished 10th out of 12 teams who played in the Montreal Olympic games. -
The Women Compete!
In 1984 the women competed and finished fifth out of six teams in the Angeles Olympics. Random fact: There was a boycott of the Olympics that same year! -
GOLD MEDALS!
Both men and women took home gold medals at the Pan American games in Indianapolis. This allowed both teams to gain direct qualification to the 1988 Olympic games where the women finished 7th out of 8 teams. The men finished last. -
Women strike Gold Again!
The women's hand ball team wins the gold medal again in the Pan Am Games in Argentina! -
The Men Medal Again!
The USA men's team medaled again by gaining the Bronze in the Pan Am Games in the Dominican Republic!
