The NAGC seeks to help support the individual needs of gifted students. It recognizes that these students need additional support outside of what they are getting in a regular educaction classroom. -

As a result of the publication. profound gains have been made in the research of gifted students and how they are treated. It brought to light the issue that these students are not given the proper attention and differentiation needed. -
NAGC Pre-K-12 Publishes Gifted Standards
These standards provide educators a guideline for the teaching and learning process of gifted students. This gives the teacher the initial steps necessary to drive their instruction.
