Cunningham Pier
Cunningham Pier was opened in the mid 1850's, the pier played a vital part of our port with rail being used to load and unload cargo. Whilst Cunningham Pier did see some commercial use up until the 1970's it was no longer suitbale for modern ships and fell into disuse. Now you will find refurbished restaurants, function centre and a bar to cater for the public. Reference:

Ford Motor Comapny
Ford Motor Company plant opens at Norlane. On March 31, 1925, Ford announced that Geelong, was to be the Australian headquarters. 3GL
3GL radio station opens. From 1930 to 1990, K-Rock was known as 3GL on the AM band, broadcasting first on 1400 kHz, then 1350 kHz and later 1341 kHz. Although based in Geelong, it was notable for being receivable over most of the Melbourne metropolitan area. Reference:

Eastern Beach

Geelong Performing Art Centre
The Geelong Performing Arts Centre (GPAC) is a performing arts, functions, and events venue located in Geelong. National Wool Museum

Skilled Stadium
On 23 May 2002, Kardinia Park hosted a visit from the Dalai Lama, who again visited the stadium in June 2007. Kardinia Park (currently known as Simonds Stadium) is regional Victoria's premier sporting and entertainment venue located in South Geelong, Victoria.
