EDVAC
The Electronic Discrete Variable Automatic Computer starts to perform basic tasks. The ENIAC used decimal, but the EDVAC used binary. I think this is important because it was one of the first computers to use binary code. -
Silicon Chip
Jack Kilby and Robert Noyce create the first silicon chip. I think that this is important because the silicon chip is a vital part to a computer. -
First Computer Game
Spacewar Computer Game is created by Steve Russell and MIT. I think this is important because it opened up many opportunities for other computer games to be created. Now we have many different kinds of computer games. -
Computer Mouse
Douglas Engelbart invents the first computer mouse. He called it the mouse because the tail came out the end. I think this is important because many people today still use mouses and they are very useful. -
Email
Ray Tomlinson invents Email. I think that this is extremely important because almost everyone uses Email today and it is very useful. It is used in schools, at work, and at home so that people can easily comunicate when they are far away from each other. -
Apple
Apple Computers is founded by Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs. This is very important because Apple has opened up a huge market for their computers, as well as the I Phone and I Pod Touch. -
Google
Google is founded by Sergey Brin and Larry Page. I think this is important because Google has now become very big. Everyone knows what Google is and everyone uses it. I even used it to create this timeline.
