Phenakitoscope
this was an early animation tool that used spinning disks and mirrors to create the illusion of moving pictures. Joseph Plateau created this tool in Belgium. Zoetrope

Praxinoscope
The praxinoscope was invented in France by Charles-Emile Reynaud and it was the first machine that shows an animated cartoons in animation. It worked by it having a middle cylinder and a strip of paper showing 12 frames of animation and as it rotated, it would show a single object in motion.

Humorous phases of funny faces
This animation was created by James Stuart Blackton and was a very important part in animation's history in that it was the first animated film recorded on standard picture film. The film was a bunch of chalk drawings displayed and uses stop motion, frame by frame to appear that they are moving.

Yogi Bear

Lord of the Rings Gollum
Gollum is a fictional character from J. R. R. Tolkien's legendarium. He was introduced in the 1937 fantasy novel The Hobbit, and became an important supporting character in its sequel, The Lord of the Rings. This lord of the rings made history in 2002 as he is seen as the most realistic looking animation seen in a motion picture in teh early 2000's.
