From 1996-2012, seventeen Air Jordan shoes were made and the Jordan shoes revolutionized with new materials such as carbon fiber plates, cordura nylon, Zoom Air, woven Kevlar fiber, and metallic mesh. -
Interchangeable Parts
The Jordan 2012's featured interchangeable sleeves and insoles. A player could switch them out depending on their playstyle and this directly relates to the Industrial Revolution. -
Vulcanized Rubber
The Air Jordan Retro V.1's use vulcanized rubber in the soles. Vulcanized rubber was invented in the Industrial Revolution to make rubber more elastic. -
Jordan XX8
The Jordan XX8's are the latest installment of the Air Jordan line. It has some aspects that were seen in previous Jordans and it also has its own innovative features, such as an outer covering that has a zipper, supreme cushioning system, and it is the tallest Air Jordan shoe yet.
