Michael Jordan's Birthday
Early Years Michael Jordan was born on Febuary 17, 1963. He was born in Brooklyn, New York. His parents were James Sr. and Deloris Jordan. -
High School Days
His sophomore years he was too short for the team so he played JV scoring a couple of 40 point games. He made the team after growing four inches that summer. His senior year he averaged 29.2 points, 11.6 rebounds, and 10.1 assists per game. -
His Airness goes to College
MJ had several offers from great schools but chose UNC. His freshman year he averaged 13.4 points and was the ACC freshman of the Year. He hit the game winning shot to beat Georgetown in the 1982 NCAA Championship. -
Rookie Season
His rookie season with the Bulls he averaged 28.2 points a game. He was voted to the All-star game as a starter making veteran players angry and wouldn't pass him the ball. That didn't stop him and he went on to be the Rookie of the Year. -
1984 NBA Draft
Jordan left UNC one year early to be in the NBA draft. He was selected third in the draft to the Chicago Bulls. The only reason he was thrid was because the Trail Blazers and the Rockets needed centers. -
Early NBA Years
MJ's Stats In his second season he broke his foot missing 64 games but came back for the playoffs. He set the record for the most points in a playof game with 63. He became the only other player other than Wilt Chamberlein to reach 3,000 points averaginh 37 points. He was the first player to record 200 steals and 100 blocks in one season. -
Three-Peat #1
Jordan's Bio Michael Jordan and the Bulls won the NBA Finals three years in a row from 1991-1993. MJ won the MVP all three years. He average about 32 points a game with a couple of forty point games. -
Olympic Games
MJ played in two Olympic Games and won gold medals each time. The first time he played he was in college and won it. The second time he was part of the "Dream Team" which included Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, and David Robinson. -
MJ Plays Baseball?
Jordan retired from basketball and took up baseball. He played for the affilate team of the Chicago WHite Soxs. He said he retirement from bacsketball was from his father getting murdered. -
"I'm Back"
Jordan return back to the NBA a year and a half later. He used two words to tell everybody he was coming back "I'm Back." He used nuber 45 because 23 was retired but after a couple of games he got his old jersey back and averaged 31 points a game. -
Three-Peat #2
NBA Summary MJ and the Bulls won three more NBA FInals in a row. JOrdan was voted the MVP all three years two. The Bulls beat the Seattle SUperSonics the first time, then played the Utah Jazz the next two times. The first time they played the JAzz MJ had the stomach flu and the second time he hit a game winning shot in the final seconds. -
Retirement #2
Jordan retired and became part owner and President of Basketball Operations for the Washington Wizards. With his job he had final say in all the matters with the team. He hired his old basketball coach from the Bulls and held training camps which he participated in. -
Another Comeback
Jordan came back for three more years playing with the Washington WIzards. In his second season back he hurt his knee missing 60 games. He played in the NBA All-Star making it his 14th time. His last game of his career was on April 16, 2003. -
Post-Retirement
Throught his carrer he has signed on to many endorsment deals. He owns his own apparal company and likes to drive motorcycles. He golfs a lot and donates money to many charities. -
Charlotte Bobcats
Jordan became one of the major owners of the Charlotte Bobcats. He was bashed by a lot of people because of is earlier deals with the Washington Wizards. He change the name to the Hornets after the New Orlean team became the Pelicans.
