    The conflict arose from growing tensions between residents of Great Britain's 13 North American colonies and the colonial government. Then skirmishes between the British and our militiamen broke out into a war in Lexington and Concord. France entered in 1778 and then it became an international conflict.

    The Louisiana Purchase
    The best land ever bought in United States history of 78 million francs, or about $15 million today with 828,800 square miles.
  • The Civil War

    The Civil War
    This war was between the Northern and the Southern states. The war started over many things but the main reason was slavery. The North wanted to stop slavery in the South and so they thought fighting for it was the only resolution. 600,000 Americans died and this was on a scale never seen before for America.
  • Assassination of Abraham Lincoln

    Assassination of Abraham Lincoln
    John Booth shot Lincoln in the back of the neck with a .44 caliber Derringer, during the play “Our American Cousin.” He then leaped the stage and shouted “Sic semper tyrannis!”

    Adolf Hitler and his National Socialist (Nazi Party) rearmed the nation and his invasion in Poland stared it all. Six years after that would take more lives and destroy more land and property around the globe than any previous war in Earth’s history. There were 45-60 million people killed and 6 million Jews murdered.

    The Vietnam War was a product of decades of lousy politics, not just American, but including the global spread of Communism. The war was different than any other because many people saw what happened during through television. It killed 58,000 Americans.

    Many people think that Lee Harvey Oswald was not the only gunman who killed JFK, but all we do know is that this event divested America. His death was even to say more tragic than Lincolns in the sense that Kennedy had bullet proof vest, and Lincoln only had men that could maybe safe him. The main mistake was Kennedy rode in a convertible.

    Man step on the moon with Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins. Neil Armstrong step on the moon had put America in lead in the “Race” and given our country another chance to stand up from all the war and disasters.

    9/11 (Twin Towers Hit)
    This event was on a Tuesday morning when two airplanes crashed into the World Trade Center killing thousands people. Then another plane crashed into the pentagon and killed many people. But the fourth plane did not hit its destination and was probably going for the capital.

    Death of Osama bin Laden
    Bin Laden killed thousands of people with his planned attack on the twin towers. Many people say that his death best estimated by means of the world’s favorable response or “He got what he deserved. Justice was served.”
