  • Brown v. Board of Education

    Brown v. Board of Education
    During this case, the court ruled in favor of Brown, citing that not allowing students with disabilities to attend school was unconstitutional. This case is important, beacuse it helps to reassure that all students are free to obtain an education and can not be excluded,despite the fact that a student may have a disability (Cheatham, 2011).
  • PARC v. Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

    PARC v. Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
    In this case, parent members of PARC sued the state of Pennsylvania to get equal rights for their children in terms of education. The court agreed that all children are capable of learning and that they are entitled to have an free and appropriate educational program, in the least restrictive learning environment.

  • Honig v. Doe

    Honig v. Doe
    This case sought to seek accommodations for students with disabilities who are suspended due to behaviors that result from their disability. The respondent sought to seek reparations for the fact that the state did not help provide additional services for these students. The judge sought to determine if complications would be made by excluding these students from their disruptive behavior in their place of placement (wrightslaw, 2011).
