    Brown vs Board of Education
    A landmark Supreme Court Case that rule that racial segregation of students in public schools was unconstitutional. The court ruled that the segregation of schools was unconstitutional and violated the 14th amendment. The court case of Brwon vs. Board of Education case led to the Civil Rights Movement that fought for rights for African Americans in the United States.

    Education of All Handicapped
    The public law 94-142 was to improve acesss to education for students with disabilities. All states must accept and support students with disability. Students with disabilities must recieve free meal a day from the school under this law.
    The law 94-142 protected students with disabilites and their parents.
  • Mils vs. Board of Education of District of Columbia

    Mils vs. Board of Education of District of Columbia
    The Mills vs. Board of Education of the District of Columbia went to trial to fight for the RehabilitationAct of 1973 and the Education for All Handicap Children Act (EAHCA) also know as the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). The case supported seven students who resided in the Distrct of Columbia. They failed to provide public school education because of their disability. The court ruled for the school district to find funds to accomentdate the needs of each student.
  • Board of Education vs. Henry Hudson School District

    The case of the Board of Education vs. Henry Hudson School District fought for the rights for a student named Amy Rowely who was a deaf student. The school felt that she did not need an interrupter after two weeks of the aid of an interrupter. The school gave her a hearing aid instead. The court ruled that Rowley was not receiving an appropriate education because of the lack of an interpreter.
