The scholars focus on modernizing the ancient scripts and making it understandable and sensible. -
The British Take Over
The British start ruling India in the name of their queen. They develop the country for their own economic benifit. -
The Vedanta Society
This is a society formed by Vivekanda which promotes Hinduism as a religion in the west and it strongly believes that India should be one single nation. -
Mahatma Gandhi
The Indian lawyer Mahatma Gandhi starts a non-violent campaign against the British that involves, not using British products, hunger strikes and manufacturing their own goods. Even though he was imprisoned in 1922, he is one of the most reconginzed leaders of India even today. -
The Indian Independence
After World War 2, in which Britain suffered heavy losses they finally agreed to give India it's Independence in 1947. However Pakistan separeted into a different country and it became Hindu India and Muslim Pakistan. This caused a massive amount of deaths and bloodshed. Even today there is a dispute between if Muslims are not treated well enough in India. -
Our Perspective Today
We think that today Hinduism has become a field of misery, corruption, discrimination and competition. All spirituality and morales have been forgotten. "How big and festive was your house in Ganpati, mine was huge" is what we hear every festival. People are commiting crimes to acquire power... Is this what we want it to be?
