The Reichstag building lit on fire, the building was their congress building. Hitler saw this as a national crisis, also saw this as a advantage so he removed all constitutional protection and right of the people. -
The Enabling Act
The Enabling Act allowed Hitler to govern without reference to the Reichstag. The Nazis rigged the vote by arresting dozens of members of other parties. -
Concentration camps opening
Hitler authorized the construction of concentration camps. These camps were conceived as secure holding facilities for political prisoners who disagreed with Nazis policies and ideas. -

Austrian chancellor held a vote on Austrian independence. Hitler said it was rigged, Hitler told him to relinquish power or face invasion. -
