The American Civil War was a fight between the northern and southern states of the United States. This civil war took place during 1861 to 1865. The northern and southern states both had their differences in slavery, the northern states did not want the southern to have slavery, they wanted the slaves to be free. -

They assembled their first aircraft in their bicycle shop, Orville and Wilbur started building their aircraft in 1903. And in 1903, Orville made the first piloted flight in a power driven plane. -

Virginia legal case, making segregation on interstate buses illegal
In 1945 there was huge segregation, that even in buses "colored" people had to sit in the very back with limited space, while "white" people got the whole front of the bus. But this finnaly ended when in Morgan v. Virginia, they made segregation in interstate transportation illegal. -

The Cold war begun in 1947 and finally ended in 1991. After World War II, the United States and the Soviet Union which now is Russia, were the world's most powerful nations.They had different ideas about economics and government, and ended up fighting a war of ideas named the Cold War. In the end, America won and declared their victory. -
Civil Rights Movement
The Civil Rights Movement was a huge time for African Americans. This movement gave African American people basic civil rights and privileges. Martin Luther King Jr., Booker T. Washington, and Rosa Parks, were the main people that led the African Americans to freedom and made the way for non-violent protests which led to changes in the law.
