What: More Americans died in this war than all other Americans war
When: 1861 to 1865
Where: From Southern pennsylvania to Texas to to Mexico then to the Florida coast.
Why: South relied on agriculture and slaves while the north was industrialized and used immigrants.
Interesting Fact: The union Army of 2,100.000 soldiers was nearly twice the size of the Confederate Army of 1,064,00. -
Black Tuesday
Who: United States Of America was affected.
What:Black Tuesday was the beginning of the biggest stock market crash in the early 1900’s
Where: This event began on Wall Street New York, New York which is the major financial section in the USA
Why: After the war ended everyone was feeling free and at liberty to do whatever they wanted and to have a good time.
Interesting Fact: Many countries had strong ties with the country and all financial markets crashed except for Japan. -

Who: New York and almost all of America was affected.
What: The stock market crashed in a big way
When: Started in 1929- to 1941
Where: Started in America and All of America was affected.
Why:Europe became less dependent on America. America people were buying to many stocks
Interesting Fact: There is still some economic depression in the U.S today. -
World War 2
Who: The conflict involved 2 main parties: the Allies and the Axis.
What: World War 2 was Britain's toughest war, and it involved 61 countries. No war in history was widespread.
When: WWII started on the 1st of September,1939 to 1945
Where: Battles took place in Africa, Europe and Asia. There were also many sea battles involving the Navy.
Why: WWI was actually one of the causes of WWII. After Germany had lost WWI.
Interesting Fact: World War II was the most destructive conflict in history. -

Who: Japanese government
What: At the end of world war 2 they had to sign a document of surrender .
When: September 2, 1945
Where: Japan
Why: They had to sign it so world war 3 wouldn’t start.
Interesting Fact: The instrument surrender was actually signed off the coast of Tokyo, Japan. -
Civil Rights Movement
Who: Martin Luther King Jr was involved in it.
What: civil rights movement began when Rosa Parks, an African-American woman, was arrested for refusing to move to the back of the bus in Montgomery, Alabama.
When: December 1 1954 to 1968
Where: African Americans
Interesting Fact: The Civil Rights Act was originally proposed by President John F. Kennedy. -
First American to orbit earth
Who: John Glenn
What: An Atlas launch vehicle propelled a Mercury spacecraft into Earth orbit and enabled Glenn to circle Earth three times.
Where: America. ANd flies around earth
Why: He was one of the Mercury Seven, military test pilots selected in 1959 by NASA as the United States' first astronauts.
Interesting Fact: He was the last surviving of the original seven US astronauts from Project Mercury.
