Henry's born
Henry VIII (June 28, 1491) was king of England and lord of Ireland from April 22, 1509 until his death. He was the second monarch of the Tudor house, heir to his father, Henry VII. Among the most notable facts of his reign include the rupture with the Roman Catholic Church and the establishment of the monarch as supreme head of the Church of England, the dissolution of the monasteries and the union of England with Wales. -

Early reign
When Henry VII died, the 17-year-old Henry VII started reigning, that year he married Catalina de Aragón (late wife of his brother Arthur).
They where crowned at the Westminster church. -

Westminster pact
En ese mismo año, el papa Julio II proclamó una Liga Santa contra Francia. La nueva alianza se forjó rápidamente, incluyendo a Inglaterra, España, regida por los Reyes Católicos, y el Sacro Imperio Romano, gobernado por el emperador Maximiliano I. Battle of the Spurs
Henry invaded France, and his troops defeated a French army at the Battle of the Spurs – a relatively minor result, but one which was seized on by the English for propaganda purposes. Soon after, the English took Thérouanne and handed it over to Maximillian; Tournai, a more significant settlement, followed. -

French mediation
Charles brought the Empire into war with France in 1521; Henry offered to mediate, but little was achieved and by the end of the year Henry had aligned England with Charles. He still clung to his previous aim of restoring English lands in France, but also sought to secure an alliance with Burgundy, then part of Charles' realm, and the continued support of Charles. -

The divorce
Henry marry Anne Boleyn
In May he announced his divorce with Catherine of Aragon, wich was realised by Thomas Cranmer.
Then there was the first legislation disagreeing the English sovereingty -

The marriage
Catherine of Aragon died of cancer.
Thomas Moro accepted that the parlament make Anne the queen of Great Britain, after that she was executed.

The Fourth marriage
Henry married Anne Cleves to make sure that his sucessor was a boy.
He divorced her because she found her dad (Cleves duke) dead, he were in a battle with Charles V -

The king anda the witches
Henry VIII enacted important legislation such as the Union Act that unified England and Wales as a single nation and the Witchcraft Act that punished witchcraft with the death penalty -

His last marriage
Henry VIII married his last wife Catherine Parr. The new queen argued with Henry about religion, so she was a Calvinist.
She helped Henry reconcile with his first two daughters Maria and Isabel -
1547
The death
Finally Henry VIII died on January 28, 1547 in Whitehall Palace. He was buried in Windsor Castle, next to his third wife, Jane Seymour.
