Henry VIII was born in Greenwich Palace on June 28, 1491. He was born as the son of Henry II and Elizabeth of York. This was Henry II and Elizabeth of York's second son. His older brother was Arthur, Prince of Wales. -

Catherine of Aragon
Catherine of Aragon was Henry VIII's first wife. The reason they were married was because Arthur, Prince of Wales, Henry VIII's brother died and the next heir in line had to marry her. Together, they had a still born daughter and their first son, Henry, but he died within two months of birth. Then they had another son who died soon after birth and a daughter Mary who lived. After this, Henry VIII divorced Catherine of Aragon in 1533. She died on January 7, 1536. -

Anne Boleyn
Henry VIII married Anne Boleyn after he divorced Catherine of Aragon. They had their first daughter, Elizabeth, on September 7, 1533. Since Anne never produced a son for Henry VIII, she was arrested for various reasons and was beheaded on May 19, 1536 at the Tower of London. -

Jane Seymour
Henry VIII married Jane Seymour on May 30, 1536 in search of having a son to take his throne upon his passing. Jane had Edward, but died two weeks after his birth. She was Henry's favorite wife and the only one to be buried with him. Jane died on October 24, 1537 at the Hampton Court Palace. -

Henry married Anne of Cleves on January 6, 1540. As soon as they were married, Henry realized he did not want to be married to Anne of Cleves and they were shortly divorced. They had no children together. -

Henry was married to Kathryn on July 28, 1540. They had no children together, but Kathryn did boost Henry's spirits. Rumors started spreading that Kathryn was cheating on Henry. He had her beheaded on February 13, 1542 at the Tower of London. -

Katherine Parr was Henry VIII's last wife of the six. They were married on July 12, 1543. She was very loving to all of Henry's children. On January 28, 1547 Henry VIII died. Since they had no children together, the Tudor Dynasty ended. -

Henry VIII died on January 28, 1547 at Whitehall Palace. He had many children in total with his six wives, but most did not make it far past childbirth. He was just 56 at his passing.
