Japanese Invasion of China
Chiang Kai- shek had formed a nationalist government and the communists began to negotiate with the KMT by stalin. Soon after that Japan began supplying China with weapons. China started recieving help western democracies. They were strongly anti-japanese. Japan then captured all keys to chinese parts. -
Rape of Nanking
Japanesse murdered 300,000 out of 600,000 civilians and soldiers in china. Japanesse soldiers claimed that they would take over all of China within three months. All of the women over the age of 70 and little girls under the age of 8 were raped and killed. Some were burned alived while tied up. -
German Blitzkreig
The Blitzkrieg were considered "the lightining war" they were a military tactic to create hectic disorgianizations throughtout the emey forces. Germany had wanted to avoid long wars, the point of the blitzkrieg was to defeat their appoinent in a short amount of time. They used planes, Tanks, and tillery. -
D-day
D-day lasted from June 1939- August 1944. 156,000 American, British, and canadian forces landed on a 50 mile stretch off of the coast of France Normandy. D-day is military lingo for a opperation will take place that same day. Hitler new that D-day was coming. Hitler put his forces to work on the Soviet Union. -
Germany Invades poland
Germany invaded poland from both on the land and in the air. World War 2 had deffinantly begun, Germany brought the BLitzkrieg strategy about during this time period. Germany bombed communications, railroads, and air capacity while invading poland. Hitler was forcing his Nazi ideology on people. -

The fall of paris was the effect of Germany's invasion. As Germany entered Paris, 2 million people had already fled the country due to the accidental over hearing of Germany's invasion. France had asked for the United States aid in this invasion, Roosevelt said he would give it, but he never did. -

The battle of Britian started as an air battle and Germany had expected to win quickly. But Briatian had won the battle. The reason for this battle was to prove that Luftwaffe was invincible and that someone could infact stop Adolf Hitler. -

Opperation Barborossa was the code name for Nazi Germany's invasion of the Soviet Union. Opperation Barborossa was the largest invasion in the history of warfare. It started from Hilter's desire to conquer the Soviet Unions territories as said in his book "Mein Kampf". -
Pearl Harbor
Japanese fighter planes went after Pearl Harbor intending to neutrialize the united states. They Japanese were trying to reach natural resources such as oil and rubber. The United States was Japan's biggest supplyer. President Roosevelt responded by offering $100 million loan to China. -
Wannsee Conference
Government officals gathered in the berlin suburbs to disscuss "The Final Solution" of what they were going to do with the jews, gypsies, homosexuals, and etc. The "Final Solution" was the attempt to kill off every single one of the jews and everyone else they dispised. It resulted in Mass murdering of thousands of jews. -
Bataan Death March
American tropps were captured on the Bataan Peninsula and were forced to march to a prison camp. The americans and filipinos were forced to march 65 miles in six days. Within those sic days they were giving one tray of rice throughtout their whole journey. Most of the people died before getting there. -
Battle of Midway
The commander of the fleet that had attacked Pearl Harbor was the commander that launched his troops on the island of Midway. The japanesse entire navy was invading the island of Midway. They were also trying to invade the Aleutians islands off of the coast of Alaska. The japanesse were trying to widen their sphere of influence and their conquest. -

Battle of Stalingrad was soviets successful defense of Stalingrad. The Battle Of Stalingrad stopped the german invasion to the soviet union and marked the turning point for the war. Historians say it was the greatest battle of the entire conflict. Russians say it is the greatest battle of the patriotic war. -
Battle of Iwo Jima
The battle of Iwo Jima made the need for a base near the japanese coast. The japanese marines wiped out the defending forces after a whole month of fighting. Japan fought from Network of caves, Dugouts, tunnels, and underground. The battle in which the United States captured the island of Iwo Jima. -
Battle of Okinawa
The point of the battle was to capture Okinawa in a three point plan that the Americans had going. The United States also wanted to destroy what ever was left from Japan's merchant fleet and use their airstrips to bomb Japan. Unfortunately America didnt know important knowledge about Okinawa. -
VE-day
VE-day stands for "Victory in Europe". The purpose of VE-day was to celebrate the formal acceptance by allies of World War 2 of Nazi Germany's surrender of its armed forces. 13,000 British POWs were released and sent back to Great Britain. May was the day that Germany troops laid teir arms to rest. -
Dropping Of The Atomic Bombs
The United States dropped a bomb on the Japanese city Hiroshima. A couple days later another bomb dropped on Nagasaki. The United States dropping those bombs is still the only nuclear attack in history. Later on people started dieing slowly from the radiation poisionings in the air. -
VJ-Day
VJ day was the day that the surrender of World War 2 was announced all across the world. It was the final ending of the war and everyone was celebrating it. September 2, 1945 there was a surrender ceremony in Tokyo Bay. Presdient Truman declared September 2, The offical VJ day. -

The muremburg Trials was a series of prosecutions of the members of the political, military, and economic leadership of Nazi Germany. These trials were done by the United States, Soviet Union, and the French. A year after the trials were conduced they were sentenced to death by getting hanged. -
Battle of the Bulge
Hitler tried to split allied forces in Northest Europe with a surprise Blitzkrieg through the Ardennes to Antwerp. As the Germans got in the Aredennes to attempt to secure the bridgeheads, General George S. Patton's transitions the third army to try to Neutralize Germany.
