In my 20's I will exercise regularly, not smoke or use tobacco products, avoid illegal substances and get enough sleep. I will take care of my sexual health. Talk to my health care provider about contraception, safer sex, and sexually transmitted diseases. I will have a medical check-up at least every 2 years, or as recommended by your health care provider, and have a gynecological exam, clinical breast exam and Pap test every 2 to 3 years. I will especially take care of my mental health!

In my 30's I will maintain a healthy weight (metabolism slows down in our 30s).I will make sure to reduce stress. I will monitor my body mass index, blood pressure and cholesterol levels consistently. Make sure my home has working smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors on every floor. I will take care of my back - back pain is one of the most common health problems in adults. I will ESPECIALLY build muscle since beginning in our 30s, our bodies start to replace muscle with fat.

In my 50's I wont escape the fact that I'm getting older—even if I've taken "all the right steps" to stay healthy. I will pay attention to good nutrition - cut back on sodium (salt) in my diet and challenge my mind frequently (can improve brain function and overall health). I will continue regular health screenings and doctor appointments to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

    60 years old
In my 60's I will be aware that aging increases the risk for certain health problems, including heart disease, arthritis, type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis, some cancers, incontinence and others. I will learn about the warning signs for serious medical conditions like heart attack and stroke. I will talk to my doctor if anything concerns me follow my health care providers' recommendations. I will drink a lot less, eat healthy, exercise and be more careful when I move at home and out of the house.
