H&M’s rapid expansion continues and there are now stores in Europe, North America, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, South America and Australia.

Alexander Wang was announced as a collaboration across the world to a select 250 stores. The announcement came during the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California and was be the first collaboration with an American designer.
2015

H&M Foundation launches The Global Change Award. The GCA is a challenge designed to spur innovations that can accelerate the shift from a linear to a circular fashion industry
2018

The new brand Afound opens its first stores in Sweden and online. Afound is a new marketplace with discounted fashion and lifestyle products from the brands within the H&M Group, but also other popular brands
2019

H&M became the first big fashion brand in the world to provide detailed information on product level. H&M Group increased its ownership in Sellpy, an e-commerce platform for second-hand items. H&M Group is now the main owner.

H&M operates in 74 countries with over 5,000 stores under the various company brands, with 126,000 full-time equivalent positions. It is the second-largest global clothing retailer, the company makes its online shopping available in 33 countries
2020

H&M collaborated with Lebanese designer Sandra Mansour for the Fleur du Soleil collection. It was the first time H&M had partnered with an Arab designer.
2021

H&M announced a temporary rental clothing service that allows men to rent suits for up to 24 hours for job interviews. It began in the UK and was also being tested in the United States.
