The Bonus army was veterans of World War 1 wanting to try to get the Bonus Bill passed. Over ten thousand members waited outside the Capital to hear whether it was passed or if it failed. It was important because it was proof that people needed money. And these veterans were trying to get the money they deserved. -

It was a bill to give World War 1 veterans bonuses. It is important because there was a huge battle over it. When they were voting on it, thousands of veterans gathered outside the Capital to wait on whether it was passed or not. -

In November of 1932 FDR is elected president. He was the president during the Great Depression. This is important because he helped bring America out of our Economic depression. -
Civilian Conservation Corps is established
During the Great Depression. The people who lost their jobs were starting to go broke. To help keep those people in their homes with at least some money in their pocket, FDR in his New Deal, built the Civilian Conservation Corps. It gave them clothes, shelter, and food. It even got them a small wage of $30.00 a month. They used it on their families. This event was important because it really helped jump start our economy. Because the people used the money they were getting to pay for things. -

The Federal Emergency Relief Administration created to help relieve the depression. They gave loans to the states to help relieve the depression. But, their main goal was to create new jobs that didn't require a lot of skill to relieve the unemployment. This was important because it was helping to get rid of the unemployment problem.
