First Continental Congress
George the 3rd was sent the Declaration and Resolve. The letter was to end the British military occupation.The British rejected the demands from the government and British army clashed with colonial militia. The battle was known as " the shot heard. -

Congress adopted the nations first constitution. This was about who would control the western part of the country. People that lived in smaller state were scared that the bigger states would take control, so they refused the Articles. They finally change the rules and Maryland was the last state to pass the Articles. -

This was to end the Revolution between the US and Great Britain. Five member from the US included John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, John Jay, Thomas Jefferson, and Henry Laurens. -
Shays Rebellion
In Massachusetts a small band of famers were trying to protect their farm from the government. The farmers fought the court but the Shays swelled to nearly 2,500. Springfield military was stormed by shays. The congress was asked to help by Massachusetts people but the court didn't have enough money. -

The first target was towards the smaller states. They were quick to ratify. They wanted to create a new form of government instead of simply revising the Articles of Confederation. After they convicted people, congress finally won the fight and the bill of writes were born. -
