1906 Atlanta Riot
The 1906 Atlanta Riot was based off of white people killing dozens of black people, wounding them, and damaging their property. One of the main causes for the riot was that local newspapers reported of alleged assaults by black men on white women. -
WEB DuBois
Web was the first African American to earn a PHD from Harvard University. Web was best known as the spokes person for African American rights during the first half of the 20th century. -

Leo Frank Case
The Leo Frank case was when a Jewish man (Leo Frank), was placed on trial and convicted for murdering and raping a thirteen year old girl (Mary Phagan). Frank however was not guilty, an 83 year old man was an office boy and he had seen Jim Conley carrying Mary Phagans body to the basement. Conley threatened to kill the man if he said anything so he just kept quiet. -

The County Unit System was a voting system used by the state of Georgia to determine a victor in statewide primary elections. This act formalized what had operated as an informal system. -

The Holocaust was the mass murder of over 6 million European Jews. The Nazi army would take the Jews and put them in concentration camps. The Nazis would also burn the Jews in gas chambers with various gases. -

The Agricultural Adjustment Act was one of the New Deal programs. It was designed to boost agricultural prices by reducing surpluses. The AAA also offered farmers subsides in exchange for limiting their production of certain crops. -

The CCC served as a work relief program that gave millions of young men employment on environmental projects during the Great Depression. This was considered to be one of the most successful of the New Deal programs. The CCC planted more than three billion trees. -

The Lend- Lease Act provided military aid to any country whose defense was vital to the United States. It was the principal means for providing U.S. military aid to foreign nations during World War Two. -
Pearl Harbor
Pearl Harbor is a naval base located near Honolulu Hawaii. Hundreds of Japanese fighter planes descended on the base just before 8 am on December 7th, 1941. The planes managed to destroy or damage nearly 20 naval vessels and more than 2,400 Americans died in the attack.
