President Ulysses S. Grant enforced and supported the protection of the Radical African Americans in the south.Presidents Abraham Lincoln and Andrew Johnson took positions desining to bring the Southern country back to normal as soon as possible. -

In every day life almost everything was influenced in a dufferent way. Income and population were growing more and more as the days go on. -
Creation of the panama canal
This was a waterway to help exchange goods. The canal is still here today and is still very helpful for exchanging goods across america. -
The Spanish American War
There were revolts against the spanish rule in cuba for many years. In the Caribbean and the Pacific there was a ten week war even though the main issue wan cuba. -
Acquisition of Hawaii
Buisness leaders saught anexation and overthrough the queen. The President strongly disapproved and so Hawaii set up an independent republic. -

The war was assembled into two alliences Germany and Austria. The war ended when the russian government crashed. -
Prohibition/Roaring 20's
This began in the metropolitian centers mainly in Chicogo, New orleans,and Las Angeles. -
The Great Depression and the New Deal
This was a time in the world when the stock market clased and everyone who kept money in the bank lost it all. Eventually people became jobless and some committed suicide. -
World War II
The U.S. was having economic troubles with the great depression. Americans were doing everything they could to avoid getting into conflicts. -
The Cold War
This began after the wartime alliance against Nazi. The U.S. increased their military when the communist state was suffering. -
Pearl Harbor
Pearl Harbor was use for trading ships in the pacific. The Japanese completly supprised the U.S. military with uncontrollable bombs brom planes into the water as known as Pearl Harbor. -
The Korean War
This war was a war between the Republic of Korea and the Democratic Republic. This war was a result of the division of Korea from an agreement from the Allies. -
The Vietnam War
Known as the American war and the Second Indochina war. The Americans had srategys such as viewing American as a way to prevent communist takeover of south Vietnam. -
The Gulf War
this war had serval names such as the Persian Gulf War, First Gulf War, Gulf War I, or the First Iraq War. In the war there was about 40,000 troops from 30 different countries that collied with each other. -
9/ll
On september 11 2001 the Islamic group hijacked 4 planes and targeted U.S. landmarkes. Two of the four plens crashed into the world trade centers in New York City. The third plane crashed into the pentagon just outside washington DC. The forth plane crashed into a field in Pennsylvania. over 3,000 people died from these horrible terrorists also over 400 police officeer and firefighters trying to save lives. -
Operation Enduring Freedom
This operation was originally called Operation Infinite Justice. This term OEF refers to Afghanistan. This operation means to come together with a number of small military actions. -
Operation Iraqi Freedom
We are tring to eliminate Iraqs weapons ant to liborate the Iraq people. To achive these things the miitary coalition is focased on spacific goals.
