Birth of Genghis Khan
Genghis Khan was born in North Central Mongolia. He was born with a blood clot in his hand, which is supposedly a sign that we was to become a great leader. His father was the leader of the tribe. -

Marriage to Borte
In 1178 he married Borte. She was a member of the Konkirat tribe, causing an alliance between the tribes. She would go on to ahve 4 sons and an unknown number of daughters with him. -

Ruling of the Mongol tribes
Genghis Khan ruled the mongols from 1205 to 1227. He had over 1 million in his rule. He made new laws in order to keep peace among the different tribes. -

Defeated Naiman Tribe
In 1206 Ghenghis Khan defeated the Naiman tribe. This gave him control of central and eastern Mongolia. This also helped him practice his war techniques. -

Mongolian Empire
The mongolian empire lasted from 1206 to 1368. Genghis Khan got it started, and even when he died, it flourished. The Monolian empire finally ended when civil war broke out. -

Destroying the Khwarizm Dynasty
In 1219, Genghis Khan sent people to the Khwarizm Dynasty. The governor of Otrar attacked, thinking that it was a spy mission. Genghis Khan demanded that the governor be extradited to him and sent a diplomat to get the governor, but Shah Muhummad sent the head of the diplomat to Genghis Khan. This enraged Genghis Khan, and over the next few years he killed every living thing in the Khwarizm Dynasty, finally killing Shah Muhammad in 1221. -

Death of Genghis Khan
He died in 1227. They say he died from falling off of a horse in battle, or just from respiratory disease. He was buried close to the Onon River and the Khentii Mountains in northern Mongolia. -
Oct 22, 1368
End of Mongolian empire
The end of the mongolian empire was in 1368. Civil war had broken out. The empire got split up into several smaller tribes.
