    The Women Right's in the 1930's was very difficult for women, because of the Great Depression with fewer jobs available employers preferred to give the jobs to men instead because they were more ''qualified'' for the job. This is very disrespectful toward females, it's basically saying that to open a bottle of ketchup is such an easy task that even the weakest of them all which in this case are females. This picture is mocking our abilities to do something for ourselves.

    In the 1940's patriotism kept women from feminist meeting halls but this was a time were feminist was flourishing. Back then the only thing that they thought women could do is be a nurse and take care of injured soldiers that needed help in recovering, that was the only thing they thought they were good for.

    In the 1950's women had roles to be the ''perfect wife'' and to maintain that exact image they had to look sprightly looking in frilly pinnies, manically waving a feather duster and serving up 'delicious meals to their husband . What they're trying to say in this quote is when it comes down top others thing woman are not needed in that department, but when it comes down to cooking and cleaning they take the lead in that and that's they only thing they can do.
