Proclamation of 1763
It was a proclamation stating to forbid any settlement over the west line that was drawn. It was designated as the Indian reserve only. -
Sugar Act 1764
This was an act that caused money to be raised for sugar because there was a shortage and it was a need to raise the price. -
Stamp Act
This was an act imposed on the people requiring them to pay taxes on paper, stamps, packaging, and really anything that was used to package. -
Quartering act
This act required colonists to provide housing, food, and a place to stay for the British Troops that needed it. -
Townshend acts
A series of laws passed by the British parliament to be put onto the American colonies which took away some freedoms and imposed taxes. -
Boston Massacre
This was an event that occurred where there was a revolt and it leads to a mob killing and bombing sites and people. -
Boston Tea Party
This was a political protest that the colonists implemented because of the unfair taxes that were making them pay for tea. This was an act of rebellion to prove a point to the King. -
Intolerable acts
Acts made to punish the colonists from their rebellion such as the Boston Tea Party. These acts were imposed by the British Parliament. -
First Continental congress
This was where leaders from all 13 colonies came together in Phili to come up with an agreement and plan to be free from the British.
