    The Sugar Act actually reduced the tax on molasses, but reienforced the implementation (Stopped smuggeling) of the tax which angered colonists who were used to a system of Salutary Neglect

    A tax on all paper documents produced in the colonies. Papers must have offical stamp to prove they have paid the tax.
