America becomes a country full of fear, and self protects. The "protection" of America stops the immigrants of some un-Americans. This fear took more than it gave, like most fear from countries as a whole. -
Integrated schools
Children of color were now allowed to go to school with colored children. The segregation of a public school was finally ruled unconstitutional. This was only after the Board of Education was sued. -
Montgomery Bus Boycott
The Montgomery Bus Boycott was the start of the civil rights movement, after the World War two. The first even that started this movement was the famous Rosa Parks, refusing to stand for a white male. Parks refusal and arrest inspired many to become activists for civil rights, bringing to birth of the civil rights activists we learn about in our textbooks today. -
The "Little Rock Nine"
Nine African American high schoolers, enrolled into a "white" school.The students entry into the school caused a huge uproar, and were forcefully removed from the school by the governor. The governor's reasoning was protection for the students-this lead to a court case.

Hippies Counterculture
Hippies began to emerge in the 60's due to the rebellion of the traditional conservative view of life. Hippies were against the war in Vietnam, and for world peace. They believed civilians were suffering for a lost cause.Hippies also were very supportive of hallucinating drugs and sexual activities.

Space Race

Cuban Missile Crisis
Soviet Union and America begin to stir trouble amongst themselves once again. This quarrel was a thirteen day process, close to leading into nuclear war. JFK prevented Soviet Union from planting missiles in Cuba near Florida.

JFK Assassination
Our 35th president as driving through our great city of Dallas was shot by Lee Harvey Oswald. Kennedy was a believer and supporter of Civil Rights and the arts. Kennedy accomplished much in the years of his office for the arts, creating museums and libraries. -
Iran Hostage Crisis
52 Americans were taken for hostage for over a year, 444 days to be exact. America as proud as we are did not want to make any agreements, however we had to go around our word. The Americans were in the American Embassy at the time, the embassy that was taken over by Islamist students.

HIV AIDS was discovered, as a unknown illness and remained unknown and uncured for many years. It is believed it emerged due to the hippie movement and their belief of casual sexual activity. As it continued to rise in the population a stigma grew around it -

As America continued in their anti- communist ways they founded the new Regan Doctrine.This doctrine not only continues confinement, but allows the ending of existing communist governments. This doctrine however will not last very long before termination.

Advances in technology
The internet changed the lives of Americans, in every aspect. It changed the way everyone communicated giving access to communication across the globe. The internet has become to this day a necessity to every one from child to elders.
