The Ku Klux Klan, also known as the KKK was a group of white supremacist pushed by hatred. The KKK had risen after the civil war, in the south. Their purpose was to use violence and commit acts of terror on colored people to be "superior."

Which major event between 1950-1990 created the biggest impact on American History?
The Civil Rights movement created the biggest impact in American history. Colored people began to fight for their rights in a peaceful or militant approach due to abuse. As segregation, and discrimination made white American superior, they would commit acts of terror to the black community. African Americans were tired of the abuse and decided to do something about it. For ex: school walk outs, sit ins, protests, and boycotts. This changed America because it gave colored people their rights. -

The Vietnam war was apart of the Cold war. America had gotten involved with Vietnam due to the fear of communism. The Vietnamese were split between a Quasi Democracy and a Communist Dictatorship. -

Black panther party
Black Panther Party was founded by Huey Newton and Bobby Seale. It was made to protect the Black Community by taking a militant approach. Every patrol carried a gun on them, as it was vital. Not only did the Black Panthers protect, they also ensured that they were not being abused, educated them on their rights, and posted bail for those arrested. John Lennon was a singer and musician of the band "The Beatles." The Beatles were extremely known in the pop culture world. Lennon used his voice to criticize the Vietnam war. He was completely against it and protested peacefully.
