Week 3 of fertilization
The egg and the sperm unite and they create a zygote -
Implantation
A ball of a several hundred cells implant in the utreus also known as blastocyst. -
Embryo
The blastocyst becomes an embryo. -
Organ Systems
All organs of the embryo begin to form. During this time the women has no clue she is pregnant. The FIRST two weeks of pregnancy is cructial because the embryo is very sensitive to the outside. The female may not influence and take drugs, alcohol, tobacco, high quantities of coffee, etc. -
Fetus
Around week 8-12 the embryo becomes a fetus. By the end the fetus weighs about 28 grams and is 7.5 cm long. -
Rapid Changes
There are rapid changes in both the fetus and the mother, the fetus brain, spinal cord and organs begin to form. Toes and fingers begin to take shape. -
First Trimester Ends
The first trimester ends as the baby is know known as a fetus. -
Second Trimester
Week 13 - 24 -

Fatality Rate
The babys fatalitly rate is still very high and the fetus still can't maitian a constant body temperature. -
Changes in the fetus
Hair, ears and eyes are in the correct postitions, fetus can start having the five senses. They can hiccup and yawn and the doctor can find out the sex of the baby. The sex of the baby can be determined at the end of the first trimester or in the first to weeks of the second trimester. -
Fetus at the end of the Second Trimester
The fetus at the end of the second trimester weighs about 650 grams and is 34 cm long. -
Second Trimester Ends
The second trimester ends at week 24. -
Third Trimester
Week 25 - Birth. The weight of the baby more than triples and the birth of the fetus is getting closer. -

Eyes
Baby opens its eyes -
Baby is more Comfortable
At the beginning of the seventh month, the baby starts to move more violently and kick. He moves freely within the amniotic sac. -
Changes in the fetus
Baby will be able to percive darkness and light, hear its mom's voice, taste food and even blink and dream. The fetus will also be putting himself in the position for birth. The baby is now able to open his/hers eyes. -
Fetus at the end of the Third Trimester
The fetus now, is turned upside down waiting for his/hers birth and the fetus is now able to control itself. Also the fetus now weighs about 3,300 grams and is 51 cm long. -
Birth
End of Third Trimester, end of pregnancy, baby is born.
