On a related note, I have purchased google chromebooks for the middle school classrooms to replace the broken-down student-use desktops. Depending on the success of this limited roll-out, some classrooms may be given an additional chromebook and ultimately, it may be the platform the school moves forward with in a 1-1 student-computer world. -

The survey results are in and the new chromebooks are being praised by teachers and students alike. Every middle school classroom was given a Google Chromebook to replace an older classroom desktop. 4 others were given to the library and Mary Fran reports that the chromebooks are the most circulated items by far. Even when there are desktop computers available, students are requesting the chromebooks. The only negative being reported: we need more of them! Vision 2020! -
