These meanie bo beanies were a violent group who did not like African Americans and would burn down churches and ride around on horses in their disgusting white robes and burn crosses and lynch black people. Yeah, they were really mean, but Forrest's mom named her son after the founder of the KKK so that's how it relates to the movie -
Gump meets Jenny
Grump has his first day at school but when the bus picks him up no one wants to sit beside him :( But a nice cutie named Jenny allows him to sit beside her and Gump doesn't love another girl for the next 30 or so years(probably more) -

In the movie, Gump's mother allows lots of visitors over to her house, and one of these visitors just so happen to our good boi Elvis Presley. He plays guitar for Forrest and allows him to dance to his song. The Hippie Movement
In Forrest Gump, Forrest's girl, Jenny, goes through every known phase throughout 1950-early 1980s, including the Hippie movement. These people are losers who do drugs and stuff! They listen to Rock 'n' Roll and wear weird, colorful clothes, and other stuff that went against traditional American values. Gump enlists in the military
After graduating from college, Gump enlists into the military and meet his good best friend Bubba and the General calls Gump a genius because he said he'll do what the General tells him to and because he can assemble a rifle quickly -
ping pong
Gump starts to play ping pong and he's really h*ckin' good at it so he plays it for the military. Ping Pong Diplomacy becomes a thing and he plays against the Chinese for America and it makes Americans cool with China! Basically, a player from America would play ping pong against a player from China. Watergate
So our good president Nixon decided to become involved in a bit of a scandal, and had some bois scour Watergate hotel for info about the Democrats, but Forrest, after being invited to Watergate by Nixon himself, saw them and called 911 and they and Nixon got caught. Hurricane Carmen
Hurricane Carmen came through the Southern US and caused a lot of devastation in her wake. In Forrest Gump, a lot of boats are wrecked and cannot fish. Gump buys a shrimpin' boat
To commemorate Bubba after his death in Vietnam, after Gump is released from the military, he uses his money from becoming a ping pong icon to buy a shrimpin' boat. He doesn't have much success finding shrimp at first, but after being the only boat that survives hurricane Carmen, he is able to capture a lot of shrimp -

Gump goes for a run around the country. For like, 3 years. He grows a beard and stuff and people think he's running for a cause but really he's running because his girl, Jenny, left him and now he just wants to run -
Gump meets his son
After Jenny gets her life back together, she invites Gump to her new house to tell him that she's dying but also that she's had a child and that it belongs to Gump. Jenny soon after asks Gump to marry her
