English found Jamestown
The English reached the coast of Virgina, and claimed the land as thiers. The colony's start was disatrous because the settlers were more interested in finding gold instead of planting crops. They eventually gained a foothold in thier new land, and Jamestown became England's first permanent settlement in North America. -
