I recall my house finally getting online access and hearing that squelching noise as it dialed up. I was excited to see what this internet thing was. AOL became a household name for email and chat. Chatrooms was the new "place" to be, instant messaging was the foundations to texting.

    Bye Bye Pay Phones
These were life changing as a teenager. It was sudden popularity if you carried them because the newness of these devices made them elite at first. You were the coolest of cool (until parents started seeing the 24/7 benefits)

This was a what's that memory. I just had my daughter and joined this weight loss program through my insurance. I sat at the office and read a email that said I had won a ipod. I looked at my coworker and asked what's that and did I want one. I'll never forget him explaining it. to He ended by saying if you don't want it, I'll take it. The idea you could use this program called itunes and take all those cds in binders and put them on one tiny device that fit in my hand was insane to me.

I sat in a cubical when my friend said are you on facebook? I didn't even know what it was. I was far behind in my understanding, and facebook was much more simple back then. When she told me what to do and I created my account I still never dreamed how social media would become second nature in life. https://www.google.com/search?q=facebook&safe=active&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiM657e2rjkAhUJbKwKHWZnDA4Q_AUIFygA&biw=1143&bih=658#imgrc=ncF7Tnx8Ta_WXM:
  • Graduation Made Possible

    Graduation Made Possible
I got the news my job was outsourced in 2009 and I could go back to school. Did not appeal to me until I discovered online degrees that allowed me to stay home and be a full time mom. My logic may not have had the right educational motives, but by taking a leap, I earned my B.S., MAT, and several endorsements - all of which were achieved in online classrooms. Now I'm helping my daughter take additional online courses!
