    Overhead projectors were introduced into U.S. military training during World War II as early as 1940 and were quickly being taken up by tertiary educators, and within the decade they were being used in corporations. After the war they were used at schools like the U.S. Military Academy.

    The reliability of the ballpoint pen is something most take for granted. With such a convenient writing tool, it is easy to see why its invention has had a major impact on literacy and education.

    Headphones were introduced to the classroom and were installed in listening stations. By listening to audio tapes through the headphones, students could easily review lessons and reinforce concepts to be learned.

    By having the tapes it allowed students to see things in a different way and enhanced the education of the students.

    Teachers were then able to easily copy and handout worksheets for their students. However, photocopying will most likely become obsolete in the near future with the current advancements of educational technology

    This is a great technological advancement that allows students to get more involved in a discussion and have the opportunity to get creative.

    Teachers started to use them to take polls in class to get real time results. This opened the door way for clickers to advance so students could type in their own answers into the IClicker device.

    With the development of the iPad, more schools wanted to use the mobile technology to expose the students to different apps and strategies that could help them outside school.

    With a V.R. headset, students are able to hook their mobile devices up to it and then interact with images or videos that are found on the internet.
