-Magna Carta says that no person will be punished for a crime untill he has gone through a fair and lawful process where he is judged by his peers

John Locke: Concerning Civil Government
- John Locke states that liberty is to not be under any constraint other than the laws put in place, decided by everyone -He states that liberty is the freedom to do what you want as long as it doesn't prevent others from doing the same.
