    Comfort Dog Program Introduced
    Beginning in 2014, Concordia offers a full-time comfort dog ministry to help offer emotional relief and stress reduction to students. Currently, Concordia has two comfort dogs and a comfort puppy in training. This ministry has also allowed for additional certification offerings for students.
  • Evelyn's Place Opens

    Evelyn's Place Opens
    Evelyn's place is the only S.M.A.R.T. lab available on a college campus in Wisconsin. As a stress management and resiliency training lab, students have 24-hour access to massage chairs, weighted blankets, Bluetooth monitors, and other equipment targeted toward overall wellness.
  • Concordia Becomes a JED Campus

    Concordia Becomes a JED Campus
    In late 2020, Concordia became a JED campus and entered a strategic partnership with The Jed Foundation. This partnership helped access and create a plan to strengthen student mental health. Currently, CUW is one of four active JED campuses in the state of Wisconsin.
  • Life Coaches Introduced

    Life Coaches Introduced
    Life coaches were introduced to CUW's mental health resources in the fall of 2021. This free service helps students with goal setting, accountability, and more. Concordia continues to provide free training to encourage additional faculty and staff to become certified life coaches and grow this program.
  • Falcon Support Network Launch

    Falcon Support Network Launch
    Under the national Support Network organization, Concordia launched the Falcon Support Network (FSN) in the fall of 2022. This new resource is student-led and directed to provide peer-to-peer support and help build relationships. Students can participate in FSN through weekly support groups or by attending Kickback Friday stress relief events.
