    Battle of Gonzalez
    Mexico wanted the small cannon Texas had and Texas said: "Come And Take It!" It was also the start of the revolution
  • Battle of Goliad

    Battle of Goliad
    Texians took over Presidio La Behina. It was the 2nd battle leading up to the revolution
  • Capture of San Antonio

    They attacked San Antonio and they successfully captured San Antonio. It was the 3rd battle of the revolution
  • Siege of the Alamo

    Once the Texas army had won San Antonio, they quickly started reinforcing The Alamo. General Sam Houston gave order for the men to retreat from San Antonio but they refused the Texans had realized that The Alamo was the key to the defense of Texas. Santa Anna had surrounded The Alamo which would lead to a 13 day standout against Santa Anna's army.

    While Santa Anna was attacking The Alamo the delegates at the Convention of 1836 were creating the Texas Declaration Of Independence. George Childress was the author of the declaration, it was adopted on March 2, 1836. The delegates had to work on both creating a government and defending their new country.

    Santa Anna gives the orders to attack The Alamo just before dawn. The Mexican soldiers attack from all 4 sides of The Alamo and they get in from the south wall. After a 90-minute battle, The Mexicans successfully defeat the Texan army. Susana Dickerson, a wife of one of the defenders shared the honors of the battle with Sam Houston when she reaches Gonzalez.

    Urrea and Santa Anna marched through Texas, James Fannin and his mem recieved two orders Fall back to Victoria or help Travis at the Alamo. This dellima caused Fannin to wait severaal days until he made the decision to go to San Antonio. Soon him and his men were sourrounded by Mexican troops and taken hostages.When Santa Anna hear the news he was mad and had them marched onto a prarie and exicuted. The angel of Goliad convinced the General to spare some mens lifes.
