Research and Planning
During this period of time, we used timetoast to map out a schedule where and what we are filming. Time toast allowed us to be organised and on schedule with filming. I also used Blogger to present my findings on research on the artist, planning and evaluation. With Blogger I used different technologies when presenting my work such as Prezi, Emaze, Padlet, Haiku Deck, Photosnack and many more to bring research together. -
Digital storyboard- using story board that
First we drew out how we wanted our music video to look like, from shot to shot, after we were happy with final draft we made an animatic out of it using storyboard that. In this way, we got to see how roughly the music video would look like. -
Research and Planning
I used different apps and websites used in conjunction with blogger to display my work. For example for the pitch we were assigned to different post where each of us used different technologies such as emaze, Padlet and so on to present our ideas,which was then put on to the blog so the teachers can access it. -
Social Media
I used different social medias such as twitter and facebook to update the teachers and audience with the filming progress.
I used the internet for research purposes ie on audience eg, YouGov.
Sites such as youtube to give me inspiration when directing the video. -
Filming
During filming, we had complications with our SD card which as a group we had to go buy a new one, however the camera was faulty. This was the third time using the brand new state of art video cameras other than for our prelim and last year, inserting the memory and importing them to the harddrive. It was fairly easy and simple to work with. -
Premiere Pro
We used Premiere Pro to editing the music video. As we had to sync the lip singing with the footage we recorded which was hard at times, as sometimes we had to change the speed. I didn't have much experience with Premiere Pro, however I have picked up alot of skills through this journey. For example, some of the footage seem shaky, as a result we used warps stabilizer, which we had to do it section by section as it took long to render. -
Premiere Pro
I used slow motion, this effect was great when presenting the clip and making it stand out from the rest, We also used the green screen, where the artist was singing and later we layered different colour filters on top (colour grading) (blue and pink). Another edit I used was the idea of having a Dilara shadow projected onto music video, this was an idea we experimented with, as our initial idea was not working. which was to have the video being projected onto Dilaras face. -
Photoshop
I learnt how to use the mask tool, this was important as I had to blend in my background layer so that it compliments my picture of the artist on the front panel, it also was easy to do so. I also used it when I was making my CD, as I had the shoreditch print of the blue wall which i used the mask tool and the brush tool to emerge the picture and for it to appear. In addition I changed the gradient of the picture so it became a softer paler blue. I did this so it didnt conflict with the image. -
Photoshop
I used photoshop to create my ancillary products, with no experience I was able to accomplish this task. I leanrt how to layer and merge the two together which is called blending. Also I leanrt how to change the font type, colour size etc, this was important as my product had to reflect the genre Pop and fit the criteria for a traditional conventional pop digipak. I was able to make this changes because of quick selection tool,which selected the image I needed helped me in creating my digipak. -
Wix Website
I had some experience with wix before, but in my spare time I played around with it, so I became advanced in using it. I used wix in order to create my website. I chose wix beacuse it was fairly easy to work with and not over compicated. However I did start my website with a template which gave me guidance to how I wanted my website to look, gradually it became more appealing and fun for the audience, I leanrt how to embed videos from vimeo and song links, making links with social media etc -
Evaluation
For my evaluation, I want a widespread of use of technologies, therefore I used Emaze for the answering the first question, the second was Padlet, thirs is Time toast and laslty Prezi. But within these technologies I used differnt apps and pieces of tech such as wix, embedded videos, links to networks to make it inteesting to look and read. -
