In December of 2004, the act was amended again to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement ACT, (IDEA).This act has two purposes, the first one was to make sure an education will meet the exceptional needs and to help the child to advance in their education for the world. the second one was to protect and ensure their rights of the children with disabilities and their family.

    In November of 1975, Congress intended that all child wit a disability should get an education, and a process would be put in place by te State and other educational agencies will be responsible for making it accessible the educational resources for all handicapped children. Eventually this law was centered on making sure that these children had knowledge to get an education and due process of the law.
