    Amy (at age 3), started to be the boss of picking her own clothes to wear, brushed her own teeth, and climbed up the chair to wash her hands. In Erikson's second stage, autonomy versus shame and doubt, is between the development of independence and confidence in their abilities (autonomy) or to continue to be dependent with insecurities (shame and doubt).
  • Amy got married: Intimacy vs. Isolation

    After a good and long relationship, Amy (at age 19) and Chris decided to get married after she graduated from high school. In Erikson's sixth stage, intimacy versus isolation, is between a committed relationship that fulfills with love (intimacy) or to be loneliness and not willing to open-up yourself to others (isolation).

    Amy sucess: Generativity vs. Stagnation
    Amy (at age 40), enjoyed being a Registered Nurse by helping others and settled as a mother of four children. In Erikson's seventh stage, generality versus stagnation, is the crisis between the success of positivity to others (generativity) or to be self-centered by focusing on themselves more (stagnation).
