This was the new Parliament They disagreed to make any new taxes until the kind discontinued `ship money.` the king refused and got rid of Short Parliament just after three weeks -

Charles needed money for the Scotland war so he agreed to the terms. -

Charles had different expectations of Nottingham, creating war. Both army`s wanted each other to not fight but they had to. -

Charles surrenders to the Scots. -
Rump Parliament
All people on the kings side of the war were expelled. This allowed parliament the right to make new acts without kings approval. Shortly after this, the trial of Charles began. Charles was tried for treason and was found guilty. He was soon excommunicated.
