Lincolns Inauguration
William M. Smith was taking a picture of the Capitol dome that Abraham Lincoln ordered to have some work on. Alexander Gardener is taking a photograph of Abraham Lincolns inaugration and in the photo there is John Wilkes Booth on the balcony. -
End of the war
Richmond, Virginia, capital city of the Confederate States of America surrendered to union forces.In the north spirirts were high, people were already celebrating. -
Booth and friend
Booth and a couple of his friends were at a bar in New York City talking about the war. Booth tells his friend that he should've killed the president when he had the chance. -
Lincolns celebration speech
Lincoln appered at a second-floor window of the executive mansion. Lincoln entertains the audice with his speech making it funny even though he didn't even prepare it before. -
Washington Celebrates
On the evening of April 13 Washington was so bright from the fireworks. John Wilkes Booth saw of the celebrating and returned to his room but he couldn't sleep. -
Booths day starts
Booth starts his day in the national hotel where he ate breakfast. Then around noon he walked to Ford's Theater to pick up his mail and overhears someone saying that President Lincoln was coming to the thetear tonight. -
That night
That night Booth arrives at the theater to excute his plan he waited until the president was in the booth. Surprisingly there was no guards so booth quitely opened the door and waited inside with them without them even noticing Booth waited patiently until there was a laugh and then shot him in the lower left side of his side near his eye with a Deringer pistol. -
That night
Right after Booth shot Lincoln in the head he jumped onto the stage but he broke his leg. Booth landed on center stage stood up and shouted the south is avenged and raced off stage got onto his horse and ran off. -
That night
George Atzerodt was armed to go kill vice president Johnson all alone and ungurded all Atzerodt had to do is to knock and kill him. George that night had drinks and decided not to do it but got up and left. -
The plan
After Booth hears about Lincoln coming to the theater he and other rebals made a plan to kill the president, vice president, and secretary of state that night. Booth was to kill the president, George Atzerodt was to kill the vice president Johnson, and Lewis Powell and David Herold would kill secretary seward. -
That night
Less than a mile away secretary William H.seward is laying in his bed injured from his recent carriage accIdent thinking that he's safe but he's really not. As Lewis Powell and David Herold are outside pretending to deliever a message to the Secretary but it doesn't go as plan they only injry the secretary worse but they hurt the family. David waited outside but he left when the daugthers screamed outside the windows but lewis had to do all the dirty work but still got away. -
Lincoln is dead
At 7:22 and 10 seconds Abraham Lincolns heart stopped beating and he passed. After Lincoln passed the manhunt was in full swing for John Wilkes Booth Lewis Powell, Geroge Atzerodt, and David Herold. -
Mudd's house
Booth and Herold went to Dr. Samuel Mudd for supplies and for advice for people to go to. In the morning Booth and Herold leave for the Potomac river and for help. -
The Manhunt
The manhunt makes great progress by arresting Lewis Powell as well as other conspirators. Mudd sent his cousin Geroge to the town to tell the authorites about Booths visit to the farm but George failed to ride into town giving booth more time to get away. -
Atzerodt capture
George Atzerodt is captured in marylandbecause he accidentaly hinted that he was involved. To speed the chase up the secretary of state offers $100,000 to anyone who captures or kills booth and herold. -
Thomas Jones
Thomas Jones saw the calalry riding out of town on the false tip that the assassins were spoted in another county. He wasted no time going to the thicket and helped booth and herold get in a boat and gave them food and told them where to go. The one thing booth and herold didn't know that they were going the wrong way. -
Lincolns funeral and landing
Abraham Lincolns funeral train was a 12 day trip around the country. Booth and Herold landed farther north in Maryland they gathered there things and sat in the wet lands and did nothing. -
John Wilkes Booth and David Herold
In the morning Booth and Herold got into there boat and went back to Virgina and made it there at the right place.After nine days on the 23 they stepped foot on Virgina, 9 days after the assassination. -
Beginning of the end
Soon after booth Herold landed they meet up with some confederate soilders that took them to Garrett's farm. Also the Manhunters investagate the mudd residence and arrest him. The man hunters get aa tip that booth is in virgina and that there closing in on him. -
The end
The manhunters catch upwith booth and herold and they finally trap them in a farm, but booth was shot and killed whilevthey took herold into custody. A few months later the people who were involved or helped out with booths escaped were either hanged or senteced in prison for life.
